A few months ago our pastor and his family invited us to go to Disneyland in California with them. We weren't planning on taking a vacation this year mainly to save money, but God blessed us with some extra help and we were able to take time off and go. I knew it would be a long flight and a lot of planning and a little hectic, but I am soooo glad we went. It was a blast and the kids had so much fun. Erin is really good friends with Ella and Lillie (their girls who are 4 and 7) and Mady is only 2 months older than their boy, Aidan, so it all worked out well. I loved watching Erin light up meeting all the princesses. We actually got teary eyed watching her talk to the "Fairy Godmother" and just watch her like she was her own Granny! She even got to go to the Bippity Boppity Boutique that looks like a stone cottage and get her hair, nails, and makeup done. I had to hold back tears when they turned her chair around to the mirror and the curtains opened and everyone clapped as they announced "Princess Erin." Mady did so good and was such a happy girl. She just watched everything in amazement and clapped and yelled on the rides. They both did great on the 4 hour plane ride (Erin was so excited at take off) and slept like champs all week. The weather was warm but not too hot and chilly at night so it was perfect for any lines we had to wait in and for the evening shows. There is a new show called "World of Color" that digitally transforms Disney images and clips into moving water with music and it was amazing. Erin bravely rode every ride although she was scared a few times and we did have to exit out of Tower of Terror (thankfully because mommy was scared after that one too!) We met and ate with every character and princess and got autographs and watched every show- we definately took advantage of every moment. We are still trying to catch up on rest, but it was worth it and we made wonderful memories.
