Chuck E Cheese Adventure

Mommy and Daddy are pooped today! Erin's birthday is on Monday and Andrew has to work a business expo tomorrow, so we took the afternoon to do something fun with Erin. It was our first trip ever to Chuck E Cheese- wow! I would hate to see this place on a Saturday! It was a little crazy and very loud. Little kids running around everywhere and us having to scream in Erin's ear for her to hear us (combined with the fact that she didn't get a nap and was easily irritated) made for a little chaotic adventure. She had one meltdown until we traded in her game tickets for a tube of lip gloss- figures. After that we headed to Toys R Us to let her pick out a few toys with her birthday money. They gave her a balloon and paper crown and announced her name over the intercom. We left with a pony on a stick, a my little pony, a doodle pad, and a strawberry shortcake in a snowmobile- this was after I hid a large Barbie veterinarian set full of tiny animals and things I dreaded having to keep up with. We ended the day with a Sonic slush and came home and watched cartoons as Mommy sat on the couch and read her Star magazine. I think after her party and today she is set on Birthday fun- although she still has to open presents we got her which is mostly stuff for her school she starts in Sept. We look forward for tonight and the early 8:00 bedtime!
